I'm dog tired after that Santa Dash,
better get in training for next year!

The next Aylesbury Santa Dash will be held on
Sunday 12th December 2010

Run Jog or Walk St. John Ambulance's first ever Santa Dash around Aylesbury. Raising money for two Buckinghamshire charities in this pre Christmas sponsored event. (We need your help to raise as much money as you possibly can by getting all your family, friends and colleagues to sponsor you.)

The 3.5km dash starts at 10am in Vale Park, goes through the town over the Bourg Walk bridge and then finishes back at Vale Park where refreshments will be served.

Although Rudolf, Donner & Blitzen won't be around to help the Santa's make it round the course, every 'Dasher' will get their own Santa costume included in the entry fee, plus a medal on completion. So get into the festive spirit by joining us on 13th December and bring your family and friends to enjoy this amazing spectacle as hundreds of Santa's take over Aylesbury in the first ever Aylesbury Santa Dash. We hope with your help to raise megabucks for the Florence Nightingale Hospice and also St. John Ambulance in Buckinghamshire. So don't forget "be there or be square!"

St John Ambulance Buckinghamshire has chosen Florence Nightingale Hospice Aylesbury to be our joint charity this year.

St John Ambulance

St John Ambulance believes that everyone who needs it should receive first aid from those around them. No-one should suffer for the lack of trained first aiders.
We've been providing first aid cover at major public events since Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.

More than half of our 1,000 volunteers in Buckinghamshire are under the age of 25. We have a vibrant programme for our young people, from five onwards.

We train 600 people a year in first aid and health & safety.

Our Community First Responder volunteers are trained to attend emergency calls received by the ambulance service and provide care until the ambulance arrives.

We provide support to the emergency services when help is needed, from major incidents, to floods and adverse weather conditions.

We are an independent charity with no core government funding.

Florence Nightingale Hospice

The aim of the Hospice is to provide a first class specialist palliative care service which is accessible and free of charge to those with a life-limiting illness. Hospice care is all about the person being more than a patient and finding ways to improve quality of life through symptom control, pain relief, emotional and spiritual support. Families and close friends are also involved as they are often central to the well-being of those in our care.

All sponsorship raised by the Santa's will help St John Ambulance and the Hospice.
